Roy Hodgson has left Liverpool, not Spurs related I know but felt it was worth mentioning.
In fact I was watching Sky Sports News when it broke this morning and far from the fact of being surprised I was more concerned with the ugly scouselet in the background. (See picture)
Now its a known fact that if you put a camera in a public place people will flock to it, but why is it that they are always like this kid? He minced about in the background for bloody ages with a shopping bag looking so gormless it defied reality. Leave it to the 'pool fans to show some class!
Anyway that's my morning moan out of the way.
This weekend see's the FA Cup making its return and we of course have Charlton at The Lane tomorrow, this should be an open and shut case, Charlton are 44 league places below us and shouldn't really pose a problem.
They are currently 5th in League 1.
This is one of those games that could be a potential banana skin though, there are two former spurs men at Charlton in the form of Doherty and Jackson who could quite easily get a goal (let's face it that does tend to happen to us!). All is not great at Charlton however, their manager Phil Parkinson has recently been sacked and they haven't picked up a win for 5 games - that was the 3-1 away win against Luton in the previous round, in fact you have to go back to November 20th for their last league win!
Its already been said that Bale will be rested, I expect VdV will also make that list as well. I don't think 'Arry will put a hugely weakened team out though, we have high potential to win the cup this year and especially after our exit in the semi's last year I think he'll go all out.
Therefore I wouldn't expect too many surprises with the line up however my guess is this:
Gomes
Corluka - Dawson - Bassong - BAE
Lennon - Jenas - Sandro - Kranjcar
Defoe - Crouch
My biggest concern with this would be Sandro, simply as we haven't seen enough of him, what we have seen has been inconsistent at best! If he does start then hopefully he'll prove me wrong and show why we paid 8 mil for him!
I'm going to go out there and say we will win 4-1, although my predicted defence would easily be able to cope the midfield could be a bit holey.
Ill be sat pitch side in the Park Lane end so hopefully i can post a picture if me joining in the celebrations! Lol,
Got any opinions on this or my line up? Comment below!
