Friday musings

Wow, slow news week! I don't remember it being this quiet over the course of a week for Spurs related news since the beginning of the season! Yes there have been a few happenings, for example the ongoing stadium issues and of course more transfer speculation.

However nothing really new. In fact I was hoping to be writing about the OPLC decision on The Olympic Stadium which was due to be announced today - as I expect you know by now this has been delayed because they are lacking somewhat in confidence on actually making a decision - what does that tell you?!

According to The Guardian our architects have released an image showing Upton Park sitting snuggly inside the OS - this to show how bad the running track would be, I don't read the Guardian but I would expect them to at least show us this image, a scan over the internet didn't yield any success either so Ill have to leave that to your imagination for now! (If anyone does find it, please post a link in the comments)

Quite frankly like me I'm sure you are all starting to get fed up and a tad bored with reading about, talking about and dancing about The Olympic stadium and its pros and cons. Mainly because its only ever the same old recycled news over and over again - even from our own board members!

So briskly on to transfer rumours.
This had even slowed down this week, it started off with a fire-storm of rumour and expectation but then fizzled out quite quickly. The same names are still floating about such as: Forlan, Fabiano, Rossi, Suarez and ....Phil Neville?? Even Scott Parker has resurfaced this morning.
Obviously the big one that every news page latched on to was that Inter are planning a £40 million bid for Gareth Bale - I would like to point out however that this originated in The Guardian...nuff said. They did fail to mention though that Inter denied this as was reported by The Telegraph. Time will tell I guess.

One £40 million bid that did happen (as I've just literally seen) is for Fernando Torres from Chelsea - It has been rejected but hopefully this will kick-start the final few days of the transfer window. With any luck Ill be writing about our all singing all dancing new striker soon!

One thing I can mention Is the results to my Pienaar poll - aptly titled 'What would you do with Pienaar?' The results were as follows:
On the bench (in front of Niko) - 50%
On the bench (behind Niko) - 37%
Starting 11 - 12%

Remember to vote on my new poll to see who you would prefer Spurs to sign! Its on the top right of this page!

Anyway, to keep you all entertained on a slow news day check out the video below (see how nice I am) - you may well have seen it as it has been out for a while but is really bloody funny all the same! There is some strong language In It but just man up and check it out!
COYS!
