Wigan away, a desperately needed three points!

Well apparently no-one listened to my blog post yesterday as it has emerged today that Hutton has done his knee and will be out for around four weeks. Fantastic. Just what we need at the moment - yet another name on the injury list.

Well lets try and put that one behind us for the time being and look at Wigan tomorrow. This really is a 'must win' game! That phrase is said too often at the moment but we desperately need to get three points under our belt, we haven't won in our last three games so it is vital that we can pick up a win. Bloody vital.

We are quite lucky that the other teams around us haven't taken advantage of this too much and raced massively far ahead, in fact we are still very much in with a shout of fourth spot. We actually have a game in hand on Man City who are currently occupying that position plus we have to play them soon so a win is a necessity!

So what about Wigan then? Well they are currently rock bottom of the Premiership after winning just two of their last twelve games, one of these was their last match against Birmingham. In this sense you would hope that this game would be an easy win however the notion of 'easy wins' in The Premier League has all but gone now and this away tie will be a tough one.
They haven't got a single injury in the squad at the moment as well (lucky for some) which will give them an advantage however they have had a lot of players on international duty of late which could be a plus for the Spurs!

As we all know we are massively injury hit at the moment and will therefore be missing a number of key players, I'm not even going to go into the list again as its far too depressing! Still, we do have enough players left to see off the challenge of Wigan we just need to pull our fingers out and actually score some goals *Cough* strikers *cough*.
We are boosted by the fact that The Hudd is back in the squad, I would be surprised to see him start but it will be good to see him on he bench at least. Remember if needed he can slot into defence but again I doubt we'll see that tomorrow - step up Bassong. On that note I would guess the following as a line up:

                                                          Gomes
                                     Corluka - Dawson - Bassong - BAE
                                     Lennon - Sandro - Modric - Pienaar
                                                         VdV
                                                                Defoe

Again I will stress that I would start Niko on the left however its becoming quite obvious that Harry is set on Pienaar, I really do hope I'm wrong we shall see. The rest of the line up pretty much picks itself really so hopefully we can do the business!

So what about a prediction? I'm going to be positive and say a 2-0 win, we are certainly due it!!
