A brief look forward...

Well Tuesday was a bit of a shocker!

Sorry for my lack of posts this week, has been a busy one and simply haven't had the time!

Tuesday was a strange one, how on Earth we didn't win that game is a complete mystery to me. Its really quite frustrating as well, not for losing against Blackpool - they have proved themselves to be a tough team this year.
No im annoyed because we blew the chance to go third, that win would have really consolidated fourth place as well and put us in a commanding position at least for the time being!

However the 'Spurs of old' made an appearance in the sense that we have now decided to make things difficult for ourselves! This now places an even higher importance on our next four league games, they are:

Wolves away
West Ham at home
Wigan away
and Stoke at home

After these four games we play Man City away so you can see why these four fixtures have this degree of importance. Realistically as well we should win these four games, however our form against the lower half of the table has been less than fantastic, we lost against Wigan and West Ham in the reverse fixtures for example.

City's run up to our fixture is as follows:

Fulham at home
Wigan at home
Chelsea away
Sunderland at home
Liverpool away

You should expect them to win the home ties (Sunderland could be interesting though), however both Chelsea  and Liverpool away would be tricky for them. Either way they haven't got the easiest of run ups to our clash and we definitely have the advantage in that respect!

In order to take advantage of this however our strike force needs to pull their finger out! The tally of 8 league goals between three strikers for the year is appalling! We were unlucky not to score the other night, goal line clearances and good saves saw to that but there were a number of open goals missed that Premier league forwards should put away!

Hopefully Harry will get his wife in to give them some lessons sometime soon as they bloody need it!

That weekend break didn't really do a lot for the Blackpool game however its still helpful to get some players back and fit again. This weekend see's yet another Spurs rest period due to the filth reaching The Carling Cup Final - if you hadn't seen yet this match has been re-scheduled for Wednesday 20th April, so we all have to wait ages for that one!

Our next tie is therefore the away clash at Wolves on Sunday 6th - this gives us a good length of time to get over Tuesdays's disappointed and to get going again, well at least we hope!

Oh one final note, to give the team its kick up the rear Harry has taken the squad to Dubai for some 'warm weather training' - isn't that nice!
