At home to Bolton

Tomorrow could be an interesting day. For a number of reasons really. We are now definitely at the beginning of 'the business end' of the season, now that the transfer window is behind us all the speculation and unease can disappear also.
Talking of which the results of my latest poll (Are you happy with our January dealings?) was a resounding 85% to "where's my striker?" not too surprising really!
Unless its about David Beckham - already the speculation has started that we will sign him in November/December when his LA Galaxy contract expires - I'll leave that chat for another day though!

Our last outing saw a well deserved and well needed away win against Blackburn, Harry and the team will want to build on this going forward and a home tie against Bolton should be a guaranteed 3 points. Especially when you consider that our next two league games (potentially 3 depending when the Ars*nal game is rearranged for) are away from home.

Bolton had a promising start to the year, playing good football and starting to look a threat to the European places. They turned us over 4-2 back in November when they were at the peak of their form. This however has petered of big time of late.
They beat Wolves last time out 1-0 but this put to bed a 5 game run without a win - 4 of these losses. To add a little extra spice they haven't scored at The Lane in their last 3 visits (bet they score now I've said that!).

Following out win against Blackburn I might dare to think that the negative mood surrounding Spurs at the minute may have somewhat lifted as people start to realise that it is most definitely not the end of the world/season! We do have a multitude of talented players, fourth place is still up for grabs and we have the small matter of The Champions League to contend with!
Talking about our multitude of talented players - we do have a multitude of injuries!

The usual suspects are still out (King and Huddlestone) but we also have Bale, Kaboul, Modric and potentially Gallas out as well. The good news is that Dawson will be back following his suspension (surprising though as I thought it was 3 games - see even us bloggers cock things up!), also Pienaar will be back following a bump to the head in training.
I would be surprised to see huge changes from the game against Blackburn to be honest, I think the 4-4-2 is beneficial to us and Harry would like to try it again - but hey what do I know?!?
Woodgate was on the bench for the last game and there is potential he could start tomorrow, however I think now that Dawson is available Harry wont risk him. One thing though, please give Sandro a try! He has looked a lot better than Palacios lately so give him a chance!
Please start me Harry! I must be better than Palacios is at the moment!

Based on the team news and our last game I would do the following:

                                             Gomes
                         Corluka - Dawson - Bassong - BAE
                          Lennon - Sandro - VdV - Kranjcar
                                         Defoe - Crouch

Note how I gave Niko a start! If you read this blog regularly then you will know that I am a big fan of his and for the right reasons. Just because we signed Pienaar doesn't mean he should automatically start. Although Lennon didn't have a bad game on the left against Blackburn he was far too predictable, put him on the right, put VdV in the middle and give Jenas the bench. If you watch Jenas regularly I don't need to explain this.

Before you say it I know I slated Corluka against Blackburn but don't think Harry will drop him after one bad game - another shocker then expect Hutton in against Sunderland.

Prediction? 2-0 win, I don't think it will be a rout like some have said but we should win tomorrow.

COYS!
